There are subscription services for just about everything, but I think I've discovered the most exciting one!
When I started out on this adventure, New-Fallen Snow, the thrill of celebrating Christmas everyday of the year was unbelievably thrilling! I was pretty surprised to find so many new friends who love Christmas as much as I do through Instagram and social media sources.
Kelli is one of those people! Through Kelli's service, "My Christmas Crate," each month you can celebrate Christmas all over again (or early)! Who doesn't want to come home from work to find a present in your mailbox?!
My Christmas Crate is our first Christmas business profile. Through these profiles, I'm hoping we will learn a little something that we can apply to our own planning. Kelli has some massive organizing and planning to do to pull off a successful crate each month! I'll let her tell you more. And of course, be sure to visit My Christmas Crate online and on social media! Enter the code JOLLY for a discount!

New-Fallen Snow: Tell me a little bit about what lead you to My Christmas Crate and where your inspiration comes from.
My Christmas Crate: I grew up in a home where my family believed in going all out for Christmas ... so much in fact, that my mother had a room we called "The Christmas Room" up all year in our home. Having a retail background, along with other subscription based business under my belt, I wondered if there were others out there that loved Christmas as much as I do and would they benefit or enjoy celebrating all year long!
N-FS: Tell me about your production process. Do you have a "Christmas Season" or is every month like preparing for Christmas?
MCC: Every month is like Christmas at Christmas Crate HQ! The deliveries we receive are amazing and smell wonderful! Six months leading up to Christmas however, are definitely our busiest months!
N-FS: How exciting is it to curate holiday merchandise year round?
MCC: My team and I LOVE scouting out Christmas delights year round! The sweet
emails and comments we receive daily about how much joy our crates bring to Christmas enthusiasts makes my job even better!
N-FS: Are there any special considerations you have to take into account when preparing for your busier months?
MCC: Yes, many of our items are specialty goods and quite a few are from small artisan vendors who need plenty of time to make, bake, create and craft their products to meet the demand for our larger orders. We strategically plan and prepare with our local USPS office ahead of time to ensure our shipments are picked up and delivered on time.
N-FS: Based on lessons-learned, what adjustments have you had to make to meet your
MCC: Planning ahead is key with any subscription based model. Keeping organized along with well thought out curated products months ahead of time is the most important.
N-FS: What are your favorite personal holiday planning tips for your home/family?
MCC: I love the idea of buying a gift cards every time we are at the grocery store (year round) so when it's time to shop for gifts, the financial strain on our wallet is relieved! Also, our family takes great pride in saving up year round (extra change, dollars here and there) to donate to a good cause. We involve our three children so they learn about how joyful it is to give to those in need. 2016 was our year to donate to the SPCA where our savings purchased new fluffy dog beds for shelter animals. Now, that feels good!
N-FS: What is Christmas not complete without for you?
MCC: Eggnog, looking at Christmas lights, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, decorating the tree, Christmas jammies, Peppermint Mochas, AHHHHH! I could go on and on!
